In 2023, the City of San Bruno administered a survey to learn about community priorities. The results: streets, storms, and structures.

Consequently, staff drafted a proposed bond measure and worked with City Council to introduce a measure for voter approval in the 2024 general election.

Future Projects

As part of the FY26 (July 2025- June 2026) budget development cycle, the City Council approved a proposed spending plan that includes the following projects:

  • the replacement of Fire Station Number 52
  • over $20 million for streets and sidewalks
  • several $ million for storm drain upgrades, the development of a new master plan, and investments in green stormwater infrastructure to enhance San Bruno's resilience to floods
