NOTE: Kids Mode is an available feature to help children and caregivers discover kid-friendly new content. When Kids Mode is turned on, users will only be able to access content appropriate for children aged 12 years and under. Further protection is offered to this setting with the option to set a four-digit PIN, which must be entered to turn Kids Mode off.

How does Hoopla work?

  • You must have a valid San Bruno Public Library Card (starting with '29046').
  • Create a new account by entering an email address, password and your library card number.
  • You can check out 6 items per month, account resets at the beginning of the month.
  • Loan periods
    • Movies & TV Shows lend for 3 days
    • Music lends for 7 days
    • eAudiobooks, eBooks, and Comics lend for 21 days
  • No late fees.

Kanopy Kids

Kanopy Kids is thoughtful entertainment for children aged preschool and up. Parents and caregivers can stream videos from a curated selection of educational and enriching videos on Kanopy Kids with developmentally appropriate, age-based ratings from Common Sense Media, as well as additional parental controls to help keep kids safe. 

You can access Kanopy from any device, including your desktop computer, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast, and many more!

Current User? As a current San Bruno Public Library Kanopy account holder, simply click "Log in," choose the method of login that you initially signed up for and enter your information.

New User? Setting up an account with Kanopy requires only a few steps:

  1. You must have a library card with a barcode number that begins with '29046'.
  2. Internet browser: Go on the "Sign Up" button on the Kanopy Site or on the Kanopy App: Click on the "Sign Up" button.
  3. Create an account using one of the following three methods: Facebook, Google, or email address. Go to your email inbox and look for a message from Kanopy instructing you to verify your email address. After you have verified your email address, Kanopy will then ask you to add your library card number to your account.
  4. You are now ready to watch videos! You can watch 10 movies per month, account resets at the beginning of the month. Videos lend for 3 days; you may watch your title as many times as you like during these 3 days and only count as one movie checkout. No late fees and no holds! You can start watching right away.
